Where it all started
Music has been a big part of my life for over a decade, from touring South Africa as part of the acoustic duo Bad Peter to performing at weddings, corporate events and private functions today. That earlier chapter included reaching the iTunes Top 40, performing at major festivals around the country, and opening for The Lumineers on their South African tour. Those experiences shaped how I approach live performance today, with the musicianship of a live show, but a strong understanding of the atmosphere an event needs.
From Stage to Setting
These days, I’ve taken that experience and focused it into something more specific: creating the right atmosphere for events. It’s a different kind of performance. Less about being front and centre, and more about understanding the space, the people, and what the moment needs.
A feel for the room
I believe great live music doesn’t need to dominate to be effective. Whether it’s a wedding, a corporate function, or a private event, my role is to create a relaxed, natural atmosphere. Something that adds to the experience without ever getting in the way. That might mean keeping things stripped-back and easy, or gradually building energy as the event unfolds.
